Looking for Nursery provision or childcare out of school hours, including the holidays?
Weetwood Primary School could be the place for you.
We provide childcare for children aged 3-11 years old. Explore the links below to find out more information about what we could offer you.
We pride ourselves on a flexible childcare service, where we try to meet the needs of all parents/carers.
If you have any queries we would love to hear from you.
Please note you do not need to be a pupil at Weetwood Primary School to access our facilities.
We hope you are well during these strange times. Unfortunately, after carefully considering the Government Guidance released on the 1st of July, we have made the difficult decision to close WOOSC Summer Holiday Club this year.
This recent Government Guidance detailing protective measures for Holiday Club providers is extremely complex and with such short time frame to organise and prepare, we feel we have inadequate space and facilities to provide a safe environment for our children and any staff. Measures to accommodate the children cannot be put in place safely within the required time schedule. In other words, it would be unsafe to rush this process. Furthermore, and crucially, our staffing numbers fall below the current guidelines to comply with safe practice and social distancing requirements and this has left us with no other option but to close.
The safety and wellbeing of the children and saff remains our overriding priority and we simply cannot provide holiday provision safely at this late stage.
We share your frustrations and understanding the challenges this will create for the parents/carers who need childcare this summer. We can, however assure you that we will be up and running in September to welcome you and your child back safely.
